First Wheat of New Crop Arrives in Amarillo
The first three cars of new wheat arrived in Amarillo this morning two from Kirkland and one from Childress consigned to the Great West Mill and Elevator Company. Martin-Lane Grain Company handled the grain with W. E. Colley as local manager in the Fisk building. Harvest is starting in Kirkland and Childress with irrigation by midweek and prices of 40 cents at the points, 45 cents to farmers earlier today. Harvest on the South Plains is scattered with grain still green and North Plains harvesting expected next week.

Railroads win 25 percent rate cut to face pipelines
