Toe Is Lost To Tricycle Mishap For Local Boy
Four year old Jackie Gilley son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Gilley of 203 Alabama suffered the loss of his left big toe after his tricycle pedal arm cut it. He and Mary Alice Roberts 33 daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy E. Roberts of 206 Alabama were riding near their home Tuesday evening when the accident occurred. Jackie, barefoot, had his toe caught between the pedal arm and frame as they rode at speed. The toe was amputated at Northwest Texas Hospital and Jackie rested at home today, saying barefoot riding is not advisable.
