Near White Deer six men held up truck line operators Troy Johnson Ernest Bradford and Carl Looser stealing $20 beat Bradford and fled through a wheat field. The small coach with the six hijackers arrived as the men repaired a flat tire and damaged the ignition. No arrests have been made.

Mary Atkinson the nurse freed of murder charges in Enid Oklahoma last year is jailed again as her companion Ruby Renfro is charged with assault with intent to kill after allegedly shooting attorney Paul Showalter who had been pursuing libel suits against newspapers. Showalter, wounded, said he withdrew from the libel case and that Atkinson gunned for him. Renfro is held in city jail. Atkinson in county jail for investigation.
