Atlanta June 9 United Press reports Warden John W Snook said Earl Carroll can talk and discussed family matters with him after Carroll's breakdown en route to the federal penitentiary He ate a hearty breakfast and appeared conscious though weak His wife and brother Norman visited and the family plans further legal action to free him.

Three Hurt When Bus Runs in Ditch
A Colorado motorway bus was crowded into a ditch near Brighton injuring three. Passenger Mrs. R. B. Pyle, 84, Denver, suffered three broken ribs and shock. Dr. L. D. Horstman of Davenport treated for arm ligaments. H. W. Downing of Denver had head lacerations. The crash occurred after a Yelloway bus allegedly forced the bus into the ditch. several others were cut by glass and the injured were taken to a Brighton hospital.
