Gasoline prices cut in Oklahoma City by Magnolia Co

Oklahoma City June 3 gasoline retail prices reduced one cent per gallon by Magnolia Petroleum Company. The 18 cent schedule now in effect with white gasoline at 19 cents and red at 22 cents. red gasoline also drops one cent. Other majors said they would lower prices once they received word from division HQ.

Armed inmates escape from Michigan hospital for the criminally insane

Thirteen armed inmates at the state reformitory in Ionia Michigan escaped after seizing superintendent Eugene Owen and guards. Two fugitives, Charles Kenney and Isizan Czordax, were later captured as searchers expanded across the countryside. Eleven remain at large amid heightened rural precautions.

Bandits Kill American in Mexico Trigger Troop Pursuit

Federal troops reported in the Cananea area pursuing about 20 bandits blamed for the earlier killing of Charles Koehler a 50 year old American and a Mexican policeman. Koehler was killed at the Silver Plume Mine 25 miles south of Cananea and his home burned. One outlaw was killed in a skirmish, Koehler's body found near the ruins. The raiders allegedly were former Manzanes Mine workers seeking revenge. Howell said Koehler previously was foreman at Manzanes.
