The Phillips Petroleum company will add three casing head gasoline plant units in the Panhandle oil field at a cost of 100000 each. The existing $2 million plant, largest in the world, will be completed June 15 with 50000000 cubic feet daily capacity and 100000000 when finished.

James E. Duncan, 44, a former special deputy sheriff, shot and killed Octavia Peacock, 34, at her Dallas home before fatally wounding himself. Four shots were fired, one hitting her heart, another his head. witnesses include Peacock’s four children and her husband who was away at work. Police offered no explanation for the murder suicide.

A massive gas fire erupted at the Gibson Oil McMillen Hagy No 1 well in Hutchinson county after a lightning strike. Tex Thornton, famed fireshooter, sped from Amarillo with nitroglycerine to combat the blaze as crews attempt to save the enormous loss from the single well looming over the Panhandle region.
