The Court of Criminal Appeals reversed H. W. McBride 12 year sentence from Ellis County for robbery with firearms. The court ruled he should have received a continuance to prepare his defense. McBride was arrested with Schuyler Marshall Jr Herbert Scales and Bob Kelley for Ferris bank burglary robbery of the bank and assault on the night watchman on November 17, 1931.
American Telephone and Telegraph stock fell to a record low of 86 1 2 in New York trading as confidence sagged after Senate passage of a tax bill. The stock declined 15 8 from the prior close, though an early rally had seen a high for the day of 91.

A heavy rainstorm drenched Dallas on Saturday afternoon with over an inch of rain in an hour. Water surged through East Dallas, endangering residents as cars stalled on flooded streets, including a taxi trapped on Haskell Avenue.
Perryton police report J M Cone 41 operated a radiator shop before selling it. He was found fatally wounded in his garage from two pistol wounds. Investigators searched for his two children J M Cone Jr 9 and Vernon Cone 6 who left with him last night. Coroner ruled death by own action.

He had just returned from Becket Massachusetts after a week’s rest.
Lieut. Thomas H. Massie of Winchester Kentucky had his civil rights restored by Kentucky Governor Ruby Laffoon. Massie had lost them after being convicted in the Honolulu honor slaying case.
The body of Mrs. Dallas Haynes, who drowned when she tried to wade ashore from a stalled car in the North Concho River, was found about three miles east of San Angelo. Her husband, who tried to help her, was buried here Tuesday evening after his body was located a mile further down the river.
