Amarillo Enacts Zoning Ordinance Map and Districts
The city adopts Ordinance 1407 establishing six use districts and five height and area zones in Amarillo to regulate building use, density, height, yards, and enforcement, adopting a zoning map and creating a board of adjustment with exceptions and penalties. The ordinance promotes health, safety, welfare, and orderly land use with a comprehensive plan.
