Rain Ink Tears Through Texas Counties After Oil Tank Fire

A lightning sparked fire at a 826,000 barrel underground oil tank in the Sour Lake field fouled a rain shower in northern Jefferson and southern Hardin counties. Ink like droplets blackened rain up to twenty miles from the blaze, flooding wells and cisterns and leaving watercourses stained.

Appeals court ruling allows Hansford county election

The Texas Court of Civil Appeals affirmed a district court order denying an injunction against holding the Hansford county seat election.
