San Francisco Orpheum Club Ends Its 42 Year Run
San Francisco’s Orpheum theatre, a cornerstone of vaudeville, closed after 42 years of variety entertainment. The article recalls its historic acts, from Rosner’s orchestra to the C. D. Hess Grand Opera Company and notable performers who defined early San Francisco theatre.
