Amarillo Aeroneers Club Seeks Points Toward Trophy
Amarillo Exchange Club youth project the Amarillo Aeroneers Club plans weekly points toward a year end trophy. The group formed in April and now numbers about 75 members. Meetings are Wednesdays at the high school with Sunday U control contests. Officers include Howard Holcomb president B R Jones vice president Bruce Norman secretary and Oliver Crawford sponsor.

Start Work Soon On School Addition
The Amarillo Independent School District awarded a $20,538 contract to C. S. Lambie & Co. for a two classroom plus health room addition to Sam Houston Junior High School. Work is slated to start by Aug. 1 with a second story structure on the northeast side at 800 Forest.

Citywater revenue bonds sell to Dallas syndicate
City officials completed a two million dollar sale of water works revenue bonds to a Dallas syndicate. After printing, each bond will be signed and checked by Mayor Lawrence Hagg and City Secretary Katheryne Burwell, with a bond register to be established. The sale ends nearly two years of work and involved extensive tone schedules and interest calculations.

Southeast Amarillo Club Hosts Watermelon Feast Tonight
Members of the Southeast Amarillo Civic Club and their families will gather for a watermelon feast at 8 o clock tonight in East Park at Eighth and Williams. Club president Sam White calls it a strictly social session. next meeting is Tuesday night August 5 at Tenth Avenue Methodist Church.
