Pampa Truckers deny hanging Senator Small during protest

Pampa truckers contest an allegation they hanged Senator Clint Small on a float during last Saturday's demonstration. Carl Brashears, vice-president of the Pampa Truckers Association Club, says the float did not name Small, and the action was a protest against the 7000 pound truck load limit. Circus Tent Collapse Kills Two Injures About 30 in Walkathon

In Trenton New Jersey a thunderstorm gale blew down a circus tent during a walkathon. More than 200 people were trapped as the canvas collapsed and rolled 50 yards dragging victims. The dead are Bingo Farino 25 of Trenton and Joseph Pierce 28 of Jamesburg New Jersey. Promoter Josh Kitchens 42 of Oklahoma City suffered a fractured shoulder.

Train kills unidentified man near Fort Worth

An unidentified young man about 25 years old and fair haired was found dead on a railway track near Fort Worth. He stood roughly 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed about 175 pounds. The body was found early today with severe mangling.
