Coughlin Trouble Reaches Vatican Over Speech

Vatican City reported a high American prelate said Coughlin’s political activities and a speech calling President Roosevelt a liar left a painful impression. Col. Ernest O. Thompson, chairman of the Texas Railroad Commission, returns home for a Panhandle rally tonight at Amarillo Municipal Auditorium to close his campaign. Highlife Blast Leaves Farmer Hurt. Man Seriously Burned

Eight miles southeast of town on the Woods farm, H Woods suffered serious burns while handling highlife in a granary. He rushed water on flames after an initial blast, reigniting the fire and burning wheat.
