Dillinger Shot Dead Outside Biograph Theater in Chicago

Dickens Sheriff Wounded in Affray in Lubbock

Sheriff W. B. Arthur of Dickens County was gravely wounded in an exchange with a gunman at McAdoo. Arthur was hit in the right side left arm and hip and was in a Lubbock hospital. Officers sought Jinks Yarborough who Arthur had tried to disarm.
