Dorothy Rogers 15 daughter of Homer and Mra Rogers of Vernon died when she fell from a horse on a farm about ten miles from Vernon. Neck was broken in the accident.

President Hoover awaits signing in the White House East Room as the London Naval Treaty limiting fighting ships for the United States, Great Britain, and Japan is completed. Senate ratified 58 to 9, with Stimson Adams and several delegates present. others abroad. Hoover urged world confidence and a move toward world peace, calling the pact a major achievement. Senators Go Home after adjournment sine die.
COPPEYVILLE Kansas July 22 1920 Teane Cullison 8 and Carlyle 10 faced preliminary hearing on charges they stoned their cousin Donald Fox and dumped him in the Verdigris river after a quarrel. They led officers to the river and disclosed the alleged accidental drowning story.
Senators from four wheat growing states led by Capper of Kansas pressed Chairman Legge to broaden the Farm Board wheat program beyond crop reduction to raise prices. They urged action to aid the farmer and keep wheat out of speculators’ hands as Kansas delegates debated a 10 percent acreage reduction and rotations policy with Governor Reed opposing cuts.
