George T. Simmons of New York City, ex-chairman of the Southwestern Red Cross Division during the war, stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hardin in Amarillo yesterday. He is now in banking in NYC, and renewed acquaintance with Mrs. Avery Turner with whom he had worked on Red Cross drives during the war.

Randall holds a contract about 10000 dollars for the one story 60 by 50 foot block planned to house four stores facing West Sixth street, with the corner store opening toward Florida avenue.

Panhandle Refining company of Wichita Falls will begin a new well on the Whittenburg lands north of the Canadian river in central Hutchinson county. The site is section 21 block 47, about two miles south of the Gulf Dial ranch well and seven miles north of existing wells in south Hutchinson and north Carson counties.
Hobart murder case in Hobart Oklahoma grows more complex as police report a possible third party involvement. Mrs Ruth Hobart and Ernest T Miller already charged with murder after the fatal shooting of Ruths husband near Bivins Stadium. A habeas corpus hearing continued with witnesses including Judge H R Aldheart Sheriff Whitaker and District Attorney Lloyd Fletcher.
Ruth Hobart, held in the county jail, faces murder allegations in the death of her husband, a Kansas City furniture salesman. She says she and Ed were happy on a recent trip, laments public condemnation, and explains she allowed his brother to relocate the body to Kansas for burial for the mother’s sake.
