Postpone Trial of Haw Haw
Old Bailey postponed the treason trial of William Joyce known as Lord Haw Haw to Sept 11. Joyce’s counsel Derek Curtis-Bennett argued Joyce may be the son of an American, potentially exempting him from allegiance to the king, and he planned to obtain New Jersey documents for admissible evidence. He suggested a U S visit to verify the father’s identity under oath.
