Plans Second Try at Niagara Falls Daredevil Barrel Jump
Major Lloyd Hill announces a new attempt to go over Niagara Falls in a barrel about a week away. He had earlier floated more than a mile down the Niagara River before abandoning 200 feet above the Canadian Falls as currents steered his 11 foot steel barrel to shore. Crowds estimated up to 500000 watched as the craft plunged 160 feet and swirled in an eddy for over an hour before he was freed.
