Eldon Durrett who was to wed Miss Martha VanShaw Saturday near Amarillo died in a thunderstorm crash at 8:15 PM. He attempted to pass on the right of a 1948 Buick driven by Raymond T. Weills, the cars skidding on a muddy shoulder and colliding with a 1948 Dodge truck and trailer. Durrett’s body was found 76 feet from the wreck, while Windham received treatment for cuts and abrasions at St. Anthony’s Hospital.
