City weighs Gem Lake pool purchase in Amarillo
The city manager and park superintendent study a possible Gem Lake Swimming Pool purchase price and rehab costs. The pool northwest of Amarillo by the country club has not operated this season. The commission also approved first reading to abandon Jackson Street and the Van Buren Jackson alley near North West Second Avenue to the Rock Island Railroad.
