Jefferson City Missouri July 6 Governor Baker honored a requisition from Governor Miriam A Ferguson of Texas for removal of Will Arthur an escaped Texas convict. Arthur a negro was arrested June 29 in Kansas City after taking part in a cutting scrape. He is said to have served seven years of a twenty five year sentence for killing a woman in Paris Texas.
In Santa Barbara area during the earthquake, six year old Tom Gallaher Jr asked his mother who wiggled the house as he played with a boat in the tub. The Gallahers had been visiting from California and stayed through the summer.
In Corpus Christi a long running political feud erupts in a roadhouse melee leaving three dead and two seriously wounded. Deputy constable R. R. Bledsoe and deputy constable C. M. Bisbee die, deputy state game official Paul McAllister dies, and former Brownsville police chief Joe Crixell is killed. Others, Rufus MacMurray and George Ryder, are injured.
Swampscott Mass July 6 formal announcement that John B Stetson Jr of Philadelphia has been appointed minister to Poland. The item notes the diplomatic appointment and includes stray advertising text from the page.

Amarillo Texas is the second team to file entry for the Denver Post 1925 baseball tournament to be held at Merchants Park August 28 to September 6. The team posted a 200 forfeit and local supporters plan to help cover travel. Gardner Motors of Denver was the first team to post its forfeit.
A well dressed girl later identifying as Jane Smith of Chicago collapsed near Times Square after three days of street wandering. She told Bellevue hospital authorities she left Chicago with six cents and a railroad ticket, unable to find work there, and said she was born in Galveston Texas, son of a Chicago architect who died years ago.
