A medical miracle enables a five year old without feet to walk, and deaf children learn to speak, as the column moves to page two.
Weather report notes a 2 degree low, 27 degree rise to 29 by afternoon, forecast warmer conditions ahead. Texas cities report sub freezing temps with Amarillo at 2 and Pampa near zero. East Texas to feel continued cold with frost and possible freezes tonight.
Tonight and Saturday warmer with higher temperatures across West Texas. Oklahoma sees partly cloudy skies and rising temps tonight into Saturday. Sun rises at 7 50 and sets at 6 09.

Miss Marjorie Melius a 22 year old stenographer and undercover federal agent testified at padlock proceedings against James Dinty Moore who ran a West 46th street restaurant. The judge dismissed the motion for padlocking and forfeiture of a 15000 bond though agents testified liquor was served. Melius said she earned five dollars a night from James Donovan chief prohibition investigator.
The will of the late Mayor Lee Bivins was filed in probate court this morning and will be heard in the March county term. Miles G. Bivins named temporary administrator with a $1,000,000 bond. F A Cooper represents the heirs. The will requests the combined estates of Mr and Mrs Bivins be split into three equal parts for the widow and sons Miles and Julian, with options for the widow to keep her private estate and half of the community estate if desired.
Magnolia Company announced a reduction of 2 to 3 cents per barrel in crude oil prices, following a move by Carter Oil Company. The announcement appears in the Oklahoma City bulletin from January 25, noting the price cut to 32 cents per barrel and crediting Standard Oil of New Jersey guidance.
George Thomas, 30, believed insane, fatally shot his 4-year-old son Robert and wounded his 2-year-old daughter while in bed, blinded his wife Helen with eye gouging, then killed himself after drinking poison. The killings followed a long marital dispute dating to 1922 in Lorain Ohio. baby Rose lingered.
Detroit report says Ralph A. Wood and Cecil C. Holt were arrested as suspects in the Sturgis National Bank holdup of December 17, with $15,000 in cash and $60,000 in negotiable securities, linked to an alleged plot to kill Wood. Wives, witnesses, and several accomplices tied to the case are noted. In New York, stock prices surged on news of Federal reserve loan figures, with Nash Motors hitting a new high at 115 and U S Steel jumping to 130.

Oscar W. Underwood former Alabama senator died in Woodlawn Virginia after a cerebral hemorrhage a stroke and a fatal relapse following a long illness His son Ovenor W Underwood Jr reported the death and the family asked for privacy as officials adjourned the Senate in tribute.

The senate court of impeachment set January 31 as the date for Henry F. Johnston the suspended governor to answer impeachment charges. The court had earlier ordered Johnston to appear January 28 and recessed after adding two more articles of impeachment. Only one voice against acceptance came from W T Clark of Medford with no roll call.
