Dale Carnegie on Fear of Customers and Right Methods
A tale of Stanley Pace from Selma Alabama who failed as a paint salesman after two years chasing a $100000 yearly quota. He feared people, misread customers, and created his own obstacles. He later rebuilt his approach focusing on interest in others, sincere appreciation, and avoiding criticism. The piece notes the Alaska Highway spans 1600 miles.
