T E Campbell a 72 year old tenant admitted to Floyd county officers last night that he fatally shot Bradford Wilson the 35 year old landlord. Campbell was held in Floyd county jail at Floydada while Wilson died after being brought to Lockney. Wilson a prominent pioneer farmer left behind a widow six children and three daughters.
New York January 20 The famed tenor John McCormack will sing on radio tonight in the third Victor piece of the season. Joined by Maria Jeritza the Metropolitan prima donna the program is broadcast by Associated Stations of the National Broadcasting Company starting at 10 p.m. EST.
A group of Amarillo men took a short flight this morning in a Fokker eight passenger plane owned by Col E A Humphries of Denver. The flight was piloted by Eddie Brooks with Lieut Robert H Gray at the controls for part of the trip. Col FE O Thompson Lieutenant Gray Earl Fuqua and Garland Hamilton joined the flight with Brooks.

Mrs Ida Chitwood will direct the classes with daily sessions through Friday next week in a spacious location near Noble Bros grocery and the Amarillo Athletic club. Ladies of Amarillo are invited as guests of the paper.
Clyde Warwick editor and publisher of the Canyon News declares candidacy for Texas 128th district representative. He has led the paper for 17 years and engaged with 123rd district matters and West Texas State Teachers College issues in Austin. Mrs. R Thompson, Amarillo clubwoman, also enters the race, two years after a prior contest.
A cold snap spreads from Chicago to the Midwest and South as temperatures plummet from near 80 to well below freezing. Northeastern winds whip Minnesota and the Dakotas while Texas towns report frigid readings early Friday morning.
