Redistricting Debate Delays Seats in Nueces County Case

A Tuesday morning dispute centers on oath and certification as a member. The secretary of state reportedly has not seated a Nueces County only district, citing the constitutional cap of 150 legislators. Lawmakers Clash Over Guest Speaker Schraub Protest

Cold Texas Night Forecast With Snow Misses Panhandle

The weather bureau predicts continuing cold with a 16 degree low tonight. Last night scattered areas in the Panhandle saw snowfall, Amarillo reporting 4 inches. Lubbock Childress and Adrian had trace amounts, Pampa logged 17 degrees, and Amarillo observed the state low. High today expected around 35 as a broad cold wave grips Texas and parts of California report frost and smoke-pots.

Grant introduces indefinite wartime excise tax bill

Rep. Robert A. Grant Indiana Republican today proposed a bill to extend indefinitely the wartime excise taxes on furs jewelry liquor and 20 other items. The measure aims to replace the current June 30 expiration with a permanent extension and gains bipartisan discussion within the Ways and Means Committee scheduled for tomorrow.

Peeping Tom Chased by School Girls at Sargent Dorm
