Amarillo High School’s National Honor Society inducted 25 new members before a student assembly. Principal R B Norman noted it was the first induction in public history with Jeanne Watkins presiding. Richard Robinett Nell Quattlebaum Jimmy Hall and Christine Moyer discussed eligibility while Loyie Hudson explained the emblem. Bill Attebury led the candle lighting as new members took the pledge. Music came from Betty Basom Louise Dicken Lynn Whitten and Carmen Ulm with sponsors Louise Russell and Irene McCune.
