Clifford L. Davis Oscar Hays and A W Williams faced charges in Justice H W Dukes court for unlawfully hunting in the state game preserve north of the Canadian River, Potter and Moore counties. Fines on conviction range from 59 to 200 dollars.
Dr H H Larson began first aid training for senior nurses at St Anthony's Hospital. This marks the fourth consecutive year such training has been offered to senior nurses.

Berlin reports a holiday release of 81 Protestant pastors jailed for resisting Nazi control. Only 13 remain in custody, including the outspoken Rev. Martin Niemoeller held since July 1 without trial.
Philadelphia January 10 Gifford Pinchot former twice elected Republican governor of Pennsylvania today announced his candidacy for a third term.
Two 15 year old Memphis girls were reported to have ridden into Amarillo on a load of feed and were being sought by police. Sheriff Hill described them as wearing blue slacks and gray sweaters. one is named Moore but the last name is unknown.
The Amarillo National Farm Loan Association will hold its twentieth annual meeting at 1:30 PM Tuesday in the district court room. Election of officers and directors will take place. Current officers are Fr. FE Adams president Dan Pavillard vice president H T Neely secretary treasurer. Directors include D C McCormick and Frank Raef. The group has issued over 750 loans totaling about 4 million dollars in its 20 year history.
Rabbi Alex S. Wiesel will be the main speaker at a stated Amarillo Masonic Lodge meeting at 7:30 PM Thursday in the lodge hall.

DALLAS Jan 10 ARI D A Frank plans a world tour to mark his fifteenth wedding anniversary. He and Mrs Frank will marry again in fifteen countries covering Hindu Buddhist Coptic Jewish Confucian Greek Catholic and Protestant faiths. They depart from San Francisco on February 8.
Potter County Agent EB R Duke and Clinton Henry of Pampa ranching interests traveled to Austin to urge a district court to restrain enforcement of reduced live stock feed freight rates, granted by the Railroad Commission for Panhandle counties. Dayton Moses will represent the cattle raisers in the drouth counties at the hearing tomorrow.
District Judge E. C. Nelson has convened the Randall County grand jury to probe a forgery case against Jim mie Lewis. The district attorney said Lewis was called for trial last week but the case was postponed due to an ongoing investigation into another forged instrument.

L F Baldner of Creston and Camp Dodge was among top losses with a car break in on Polk Street yielding golf clubs suits shirts coats blankets jackets trousers a kodak and tackle. Grace Hamilton lost a black seal skin coat at Ko Ko Mo Club on Tenth Avenue. Roy F Smith reported a folding camera and pants from his car near the Herring Hotel. Jim Black had two suits stolen from his Harrison Street room. State patrol noted a Chevrolet town sedan stolen from J S Fuqua at Pampa.
E. H. Webb age 60 former county commissioner died today from pistol wounds. Justice of the Peace E. E. Wood found a pistol in the room where Webb died after two shots were fired. The incident occurred in Eastland.
H A Bardwell president of the Texas State Federation of Federal Employees will address Amarillo federal employees on the National Federation of Federal Employees program at the Capitol Hotel tonight at 8 o clock. He said the objective is merit system extension and field service classification by law. Bardwell works for the Veterans Administration with headquarters in San Antonio Texas and notes the federation is not affiliated with CIO or AFL.
Hattie W. Caraway announced from Washington that she seeks a second full term in the U.S. Senate in the 1938 elections, asking Arkansans to return her to the chamber.
