Marquis the magician will present a two hour program described as scientific hocus pocus at 8 o clock tomorrow night in the Amarillo High School auditorium under the Amarillo College Balladers and Balladettes. He promises illusions including the eye sealing challenge and photographs caught on high speed cameras with fifty mysteries featured. Tickets are available at the door or from Balladors and Balladettes members.
In Moscow Idaho all officers for the coming year are women after the Latah County Pomona Grange elected an all female slate. The group cited male officers as indifferent and chose women to lead the organization.
Amarillo police investigate the stabbing of Mrs. George Johnson at the Lewis Hotel. The patient, at St. Anthony's hospital, sustains severe wounds including a possible punctured lung. A woman reported to headquarters is to be questioned.
The Amarillo High School will receive new portable sound motion picture equipment purchased by the student body. Principal R B Norman says the equipment is the finest available and will be used shortly. A beaded screen is ordered for the auditorium and a portable screen for classrooms. The University of Paris was founded about 1200 by King Philip I.
