The body of a man about 60 identified as J. D. Maxwell of Wilmer Dallas County was found beneath a street car trestle with the right side of the head crushed and an arm broken. Investigators suggest a street car may have knocked him from the trestle.
Temperature dipped close to the season low in Amarillo this morning with a 20 degree low at 5 a.m. Weatherman H. T. Collman promises warmer weather tonight and tomorrow as temperatures rise. He forecast fair conditions after the cold snap.

The Pontiac Motor Company unveils a new affordable Six, available in Standard and De Luxe, alongside the familiar Straight Eight. Improvements include streamlined styling, built in luggage space, concealed spare tires, Fisher solid steel turret top bodies, hydraulic brakes with double and triple seals, an action clutch, interchangeable bearings, and more. Display and special showing at Frost Motor Company rooms 507 Tyler Street this Saturday and Sunday.
Dodge unveils a new line featuring easier clutch and brake operation and the 85 mph Red Ram engine. Promises better gas and oil economy, improved body design, and the all steel body. Cars are shown at Cullum Motor Company on Seventh Avenue and Tyler Street.
In Po nca City Oklahoma January 4 Texans oppose a proposed oil pact backed by governors and urged Congress to authorize an oil states agreement to limit production. Delegates supported drafting a measure to authorize another meeting to finalize the pact. Texas led opposition with Arkansas and Louisiana amid a 5 to 3 split among states.
Arthur Brisbane notes editor George W. Clark of New York doubts absolute proof of Bruno Hauptmann's guilt in the Lindbergh kidnapping case while predicting a likely conviction. He cautions legal certainty may not be achieved by the jury at this stage.
Austin reports Governor elect James V. Allred plans a major overhaul of the Texas Ranger force ahead of the January 15 administration start. Past reorganizations show prominent leaders have left the unit, and sources expect a sweeping shakeup though specific names remain undecided.

New York January 4 The first week of the year shows business off to the most auspicious start since 1929, Dun and Bradstreet reports. Indications suggest first quarter 1935 will exceed 1934 projections as consumer buying shifts from agricultural areas to industrial centers with government funds steady.
The government secured six convictions in a case accusing defendants of conspiring to free prisoner Frank Nash, the plot linked to the Union Station massacre in which Nash and four officers were killed. Among the convicted were two women, Mrs Elizabeth Galatas and others.
Esther Farmer and Frances Nash are central figures as trial opens for conspiracy to free Nash. Defendants include Richard T. Galatas husband of Mrs Galatas Herbert Farmer and Louis Stacci linked to gangsters. Miller pleads guilty while Otis weighs sentence. government links nine deaths in the station massacre.
