Sherman January 2 United Press reports Frank Kate 72 shot himself on the steps of an undertaking parlor after telephoning New Year greetings to Dallas. He rang the bell, fired his revolver, and left a note asking the Sherman undertaker to dispose of his body quietly and quickly. He had previously attempted a similar suicide in Dallas.

Police and sheriff crews probe a Friday night to Saturday morning theft at the Fair theater with about 1500 dollars recovered from the safe.
