Bast at Louis reports cattle numbers 1 600 with beef steers 8.40 to 0 and heifers 7.75 to 9 while cows bring 4.75 to 6 and top calves 13. Sheep run 259 with choice lambs 17.75 and fat ewes 8.59 to 9.26. Hog prices reach 12.20 top and 12 to 12.15 bulk with nights and pigs 11.25 to 11.55 and packer sows 10.74.
Cattle run about 3 000 with calves 700 higher market tops at 11 for steers and 10.50 for heavies baby beefs 10.75 bulk 8.25 to 10.25 cows 4.75 to 6.50 heifers 6 to 8 canners and cutters 2.60 to 4 calves up to 10.50 bologna bulls 4.25 to 4.75 stocker steers 6 to 7.75. Chicago markets show hogs up to 12.20 with heavy hogs 11.99 to 12.20 and packing sows 10.90 to 11.25. Cattle reports 11,000 head with mature steers 10.76 to 11.15 and yearlings 12.25 for choice. vealers 14 to 15.50. Sheep totals 16,000 with lambs 17.50 to 17.75 and killing ewes 9.25.
