Funeral services for Mrs. Lou Ozier 75 were set at 2 pm at the Ozier home 1516 Harrison with Rev F W O Malley of the first Christian church officiating She was grandmother to Mrs Dwight Newby and Mrs James Shelton of Amarillo and had lived here seventeen years coming from Tennessee She is survived by her husband two sons a daughter and two sisters The body will be taken to Fort Worth Thursday evening for burial.
James M. Shelton has purchased the residence of Toney Chisum at 1902 Harrison Street. The Sheltons plan to take possession in a few days and will split time between their Amarillo home and the ranch. The Chisums will live temporarily at the Amarillo Hotel and may buy or build a new home.
In Austin on February 26 the House, led by Rep. H. H. Moore of Cooper and Rep. W Nathaniel Jacks of Dallas, introduced a bill repealing all anti pass legislation to permit free railroad transport for legislators and their families despite the governor's veto.
An indictment returned in Wichita Falls charges Frank Collier former mayor with murder for the killing of Elsie J. Robertson on February 14. Collier was brought into court and bail denied with attorneys filing a writ of habeas corpus returnable February 28.
President Coolidge signed a bill awarding distinguished service medals to Army World War I veterans and advancing them in Army promotions. Southland Life Insurance Co. is listed with A. Bradley as general agent at the Amarillo hotel.
