Fred Larkin Dies in Local Hospital

Fred O. W. Larkin, 47, of 620 West Eleventh Avenue, died this morning at 8 45 in a local hospital. He is survived by his widow Mrs Della Mine Larkin a son James Francis of Dallas and a daughter Norene. Larkin was superintendent of construction for the Otis Elevator Company and had lived in Amarillo six months. He was a Catholic and a World War veteran. The body will be sent to Bridgeport Texas this afternoon. Funeral services and burial will be held tomorrow afternoon.

Glen Kendrick Wins $700 Judgment in Storage Case

The 108th Civil District Court jury awarded Glen Kendrick $700 against Amarillo Warehouse and Storage Company. The judgment was issued late Tuesday after a two day trial that also named manager C A Riley and bonding firm Republic Underwriters of Waco. Century Wall Paper Mills demands police enforce a court order to evict 30 workers who barricaded the plant. In Springfield Ohio about 50 Crowell Publishing union pressmen held a sit down for higher pay a 40 hour week and recognition.
