Dry strategy board objects to new plan
Washington Feb. 23. Proposals to create a single all embracing dry organization for the 1932 presidential campaign faced strong objections at a closed session strategy board meeting. The body agreed on mobilizing the duty forces before 1932 to coordinate efforts, while some leaders warned against too close a knit structure. The Methodist Episcopal Board of Temperance urged Democrats to keep moral issues out of the campaign and warned against courting wet sentiment in the South and West.
