A staged hold up at a New York theater on East 216th Street involved six hundred men who seized $15,000. Police pursued the assailants, catching several and recovering the receipts before the group escaped with part of the money.
Port Whaley and Homer Wade of the West Texas Chamber of Commerce urge rapid committee appointments for the June 21 23 convention in Amarillo. They predict 40000 or more visitors with 50 bands and extensive plans for housing traffic parades and entertainment across multiple days.
