A family traveling from the Pronger Ranch to Sherman County was trapped by a blizzard on US 287 seven miles south of Stratford. Robert Wayne Reynolds, 2, and Juanita House Reynolds, 4, were killed. Mrs. Booker Toon, 45, of Wheeler, and the two other children survived with Reynolds in critical condition after rescue efforts from farm owner Sam Wohlford and others.
