Nearly 400 entries are expected for the Texas Panhandle Rabbit and Cavy Breeders Association Show on March 16. Chief Yeoman Brooks Carroll has been assigned to the Naval Reserve Recruiting Office in Amarillo. He has been in the Navy six years and served as chief yeoman in the Pacific and Atlantic during the war. Carroll lives at Pantex Village with his wife and 14 month old son Clifford Brooks.
G C Jefferis announces Clinton E Duncan will head freight claim prevention on the Western lines with Amarillo headquarters. Duncan joined Santa Fe in 1924, rising from Lubbock clerk to chief clerk in 1936 and serving at Pantex during war years.
Eleven nurses will take examinations today for a state board nursing certificate. The tests will be held at Northwest Texas Hospital conducted by Mrs. Dorris McCune of the hospital staff. Ragtime Doubles runs April 5 to May 12.

Marvin Nichols of Freese and Nichols in Fort Worth is consulting Amarillo city officials on a water tank and reservoir project. A new feeder line is planned to run southwest of Amarillo to deliver water from wells the city plans to drill, expanding the water supply.
Wichita Falls on February 11 the school board president Merle T. Waggoner announced the resignation of H D Fillers as superintendent of schools. Fillers had served as superintendent since 1931 and no reason was given for his departure.
