Soldiers to Attend USC Legion Party at Tri-State Fairgrounds

About 200 soldiers will be guests of the USC Legion Committee at the Tri-State Fairgrounds. Sol Levine, chairman, says entertainment and ample refreshments will mark the event in a fair building. Service men should meet at the downtown USO at 7 o clock for transportation.

Priority Ratings Awarded for Downtown USO Renovation

Dr. Maurice Hartmann announced that full speed renovation of the Downtown USO will begin this week. Frank W. Jesse is the contractor for remodeling at 528 Taylor Street, installing plumbing wiring and electrical equipment, showers, an arts and crafts shop, and a snack bar kitchen. The building received an AA3 rating for electrical equipment and an AAS rating for other required items.

Priority Problems To Be Aired Here

Priority problems in the Amarillo area will be aired here for two and a half days starting tomorrow. O. E. The Farm Security Administration plans short courses on milking cows tractor driving and other farm tasks. The program aims to teach sanitary dairy operations and finer points of farm work mainly to those with farm experience but lacking dairy or tractor knowhow.
