Mrs. R. W. Adams hosted a gathering at 2214 Hayden titled Music and Romance. Co-hostesses were Mesdames M. M. Laing, W. C. Benue and A. D. Steed, with Mrs. E. K. Jones directing the proceedings.
A local Reis program featured piano numbers by Mrs Garland Martin and Mrs Harshelene Journey-McCarty along with Schubert-Liszt pieces by Mrs Brady McCoy. Mrs Ruth Griffin received a birthday gift as the club announced an upcoming opera workshop at Amarillo College on Feb 19.
Mrs. Eleanor F. Heitzman of Salt Lake City was honored by Avihk Temple No. 70 Daughters of the Nile in Salt Lake. She spoke on the Supreme Temple's work in providing artificial limbs for children and praised local efforts in hospital garments. Twenty-one candidates were initiated at an evening meeting.
