Pampa Farmer Recalls Hard Times Before Oil Boom

Amarillo undertakers state ambulances are not used for smallpox cases and bodies are not prepared for burial in funeral homes. The isolation hospital has a smallpox ambulance, and Blackburn's and Griggs' Funeral Homes do not handle such cases. Bodies are prepared where the patient dies and taken directly to the cemetery.

Noel Town Opening Near Pampa With Gas and Water Lines
Noel plans a new town on the half section south of the Skelly Oil site that sold for 240000. The plat is filed eight miles west of Pampa and one mile north with gas lines and water mains being laid. The town builder says it will be a good live one with city making potential.
