G W Laing dies at 90 former Amarillo grocer
G W Laing a 90 year old retired Amarillo grocer died Saturday night at his home 1519 Pierce. Funeral services were to be held this afternoon at Blackawn Memorial Chapel with Dr Neal D Cannon officiating. Burial was in Llano Cemetery. Survivors include wife Mary Laing a daughter three sons a brother six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He moved from Iowa to Texas later decades and ran multiple stores before retiring in 1942. He celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary in 1947.

Pair Sentenced For 101 Liquor Store Robbery
