Three Channing Pioneers Die Within Day
Death claims Irving J. Lamar 62 and his wife Mabel Lamar in Channing Hartley County where he served as treasurer and she as deputy treasurer Miss Anna Burns 72 longtime Channing resident died in Dalhart Hospital. The Lamar couple married in 1918 and funeral services set for Friday at First Baptist Church with burial in Channing Cemetery. Miss Burns earlier worked for Channing Mercantile & Banking Co and was active in store and bank work until retirement. Rosary and Mass noted in Dalhart prior to burial in Channing Cemetery.
