Uncle Dick Timmons of Sebree Kentucky, born December 25 1845 in Madison County Kentucky, is said to be among the only two living grandchildren of a Revolutionary War soldier. Their father George E. Timmons is buried at Claude. The two have corresponded about 45 years and met in 1891 when the Kentucky man visited Timmons relatives in Decatur. Uncle Dick lived in Decatur in 1878 and 1879 but moved back to Kentucky to own a wholesale nursery business. He and his nephew will finally exchange greetings this year with a note.
