The Army announces Dec 31 cutbacks, expanding release eligibility by 600,000. Enlisted WACs need two years six months of service, WAC officers three years three months, with point scores lowered to 50 for enlisted and 70 for officers. Length of service now counted for WAC personnel.
Amarillo reported a near zero temperature while Fort Worth Dallas and other Texas cities stayed in the teens to mid thirties. The forecast calls for a warming to 37 this afternoon and a low around 10 tonight with no rain or snow.
