Juliana of Netherlands Visits Washington for Three Day Stay

Crown Princess Juliana of the Netherlands arrives in Washington aboard a train from Ottawa with Baron De Vos and his wife. She will be hosted at the White House by President and Mrs. Roosevelt, attend a luncheon, visit Mount Vernon, and join a symphony concert in the first lady’s company.

Women Only Tables At the Postoffice

Postmaster W. D. DeGrassi set up women only tables in the postoffice lobby for addressing Christmas cards and packages. He noted a surge in early mailing and cited a woman addressing about 100 envelopes. Postal workers sought aspirin for ragged nerves amid the rush.

Hitler Addresses Cadet Meeting In Berlin

Adolf Hitler spoke to about 5 000 cadets at the Berlin Sports Palace. The meeting was closed and the remarks were not published, but the official news agency said he delivered an inspiring address to prepare them as leaders of the National Socialist Army. Light Fixture Accident Injures Cafeteria Patron

Miss Pauline Thackeray suffered a brain concussion and scalp wounds when a ceiling light fell at Lady's Cafeteria on Polk Street yesterday. Her companion Mrs. Doris Burke was lightly injured and taken to St. Anthony's Hospital. The fixture was jarred loose by workers in the vacant office upstairs.

Max Wilson Rites Set for Tomorrow in Amarillo

Funeral services for Max Wilson 35 formerly of Amarillo, now deceased in Raton New Mexico, will be held tomorrow at 10 from Blackburn-Shaw Chapel. A Church of Christ Scientist reader will officiate. He lived in Amarillo until a month ago and worked with the Pueblo Courts. Survived by his wife and brother Ben Wilson of Clayton Tennessee. Burial in Llano Cemetery.

Private William Hawley of Montrose Pennsylvania, 6 feet 3 inches tall, reported to Fort Dix New Jersey after enlisting six weeks ago at 162 pounds. He now weighs 212 pounds and serves as cook in the first signal depot company.
