Potter County Courthouse construction eyed for Wednesday start

Contractor C. 8. Lambie says Amarillo crews will staff the project with local workers, basing the schedule on midweek groundwork. Excavation will begin, steel shipments are due in about 10 days, and the project costs 391,366 dollars. Trees on the site are being relocated to Tri-State Fair park.

Unarmed Man Leads Trio to Mother's Home in Shootout

In Clarendon a man named T N Naylor surprised three burglars at his garage then marched them to his mother's house where the group was intercepted. One attacker shot Naylor during the confrontation. Naylor and his sister subdued him. A hired hand with a shotgun injured the fleeing suspect. Police seek identification and fingerprint analysis.
