Vernon December 11 Guy L Waggoner widely known Texas and New Mexico ranchman and sports figure was found dead in his Vernon home at age 67. He died in sleep overnight and the body was discovered by his wife at 9 o clock. He was co owner of Three D s stock farm at Arlington Downs and son of W T Waggoner. He chaired the Texas Racing Commission in 1935 and headed the New Mexico Racing Commission in 1939 after establishing a residence near Mescalero New Mexico in 1937. He also served as president of the First National Bank of Decatur.
