G. M. Wright of Dumas swerved to avoid a girl and plunged his car into a four foot ditch near Pleasant Valley school on the North Highway. He suffered minor injuries while Mrs. Wright broke a leg and sustained other injuries. Their daughter Mia Perkins of Lubbock escaped uninjured. The injured were taken to St. Anthony's hospital in Amarillo.

Borger Man Fends Off Bandit Then Is Shot
