The case of Will R. Winch Mission theater manager and four others arrested Sunday in connection with the theater opening is expected to come up in Justice Landis court tomorrow. It was postponed from yesterday afternoon.
Eight people perished in a Williamson West Virginia boarding house fire, including Mrs. William Hampton and her three children, Pearl Johnson Browning, Deputy Sheriff John L. Marcum, Bob Ireson and son Albert, all witnesses in the Elijah Wellman murder trial. The blaze began in a hallway and blocked both stairways trapping victims on the upper floor as fire crews fought to reach them.
Enid Oklahoma December 6 George Kimes pleaded guilty to robbing a Covington bank last year. He is the brother of the outlaw Matthew Kimes and was sentenced to fifty years in the state penitentiary.

Charles Albert Hotchkiss 1 Confederate veteran and native Texan who joined the original Ku Klux Klan and became a 33rd degree Mason died in Dallas on Monday. He was born February 3 1846 at the Hotchkiss plantation mill near Nacogdoches. Funeral services will be announced.

In Mays Landing New Jersey defense closes its case in the murder trial of Mrs Margaret Lilliendahl and Willis Beach. Mrs Lilliendahl, the defendant, was the last witness for the defense and after about five and a half hours of testimony yesterday she was cross examined for thirty minutes this morning and then released.
Frank Snyder, currently with the St. Louis Cardinals, will become manager of the Houston Texas League club next year. Fred Ankeman, Cardinals manager, announced the move. Snyder began in Victoria Texas and reached the majors with the New York Giants before joining the Cardinals in 1926.
Southern California fires, four of five major blazes extinguished with the fifth under control. Total damage estimated over 1.5 million dollars, mostly from water shed losses. Sunset Canyon in the Verdugo hills area suffered about 500,000 in property including almost 100 homes and the Sunset Country Club house.

Lee Crouch suffered a severe burn to his right leg last night while filling a car tank at an Adams street station when gasoline ignited. His clothing caught fire but the flames were soon extinguished. He was taken by Blackburns ambulance to St. Anthony's hospital and is employed by the city water department residing at 709 North Hayes.
Colton California December 6 the case centers on the killing of Texas a 9100 pound circus elephant killed by a posse led by Ben McFarland after the animal rampaged through Colton. The owner W G Dolphyn calls the act criminal while McFarland says he acted in self defense to protect townspeople and a child.
