PCL Seeks Major League Status On Technical Hurdle
The Pacific Coast League pressed to upgrade to major league status at the minor league convention in Miami with 32 league presidents voting in favor and 17 against. A three fourths majority was required to change the major minor league agreement, so the move was declared lost though a re draft was allowed. West Coast expansion toward big time baseball appeared likely regardless of the next MLB vote.
